Price Drop for Radeon HD Series
Posted by Drum Dave on April 14, 2012
In late March, we mentioned the possibility of lower prices of the Radeon HD 7000 with the arrival on the market for the first NVIDIA GPU with a 28nm, the GeForce GTX 680. Particularly concerned, the Radeon HD 7970 launched at a hefty price tag. If one believes Kitguru, AMD is indeed preparing a first round of price reductions on its range of graphics cards.
A priori, prices could drop $60 for the Radeon HD 7970 which would end up selling around $489, and $ 55 for the Radeon HD 7950 which would end up selling about $394. And that’s not all, since a $15 discount on the Radeon HD 7770 could also be decided, bringing the suggested retail price of $154. Knowing that CrossFire combine two Radeon HD 7770 gives convincing results.
Hoping so quickly that consumers benefit from a price war between AMD and more pronounced on the new generation NVIDIA graphics cards.
